Lisa Poore MS, LPC:

Lisa earned a M.S. degree in counseling from Georgia State University and a diploma in Christian Counseling from Psychological Studies Institute. She is Board Certified and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. She is also certified in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing which is used to help victims of trauma and disaster.

Lisa enjoys working with adults, teens and children dealing with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, and ADHD. In addition, she works with family of origin issues, codependency and dysfunctional family issues, divorce recovery, postpartum depression, chronic pain and marital therapy. She teaches stress management and setting priorities to adults as well as parenting skills. She has a particular interest in seeing people change- not just learn to cope better. She guides clients through steps of spiritual growth so they might be transformed deep inside. Through this transformation process she helps clients learn to experience the love and power of God in their own lives- which leads to true freedom.

Troy Snyder MS, NCC, LPC, CCSAS:

Troy earned a Masters of Science from Georgia State University in Community Counseling and also earned a diploma in Christian Counseling from the Psychological Studies Institute. He is a Board Certified as a National Certified Counselor and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Georgia. He also is a Certified Clinical Sexual Addiction Specialist. Troy enjoys working with adolescents and adults with anger, anxiety, depression, sexual addiction, and spiritual development. He also enjoys working with couples for pre-marital, marital, conflict resolution, and parenting. Troy helps clients by using the Word of God as the foundation for truth and understanding for all life issues. 


Jennifer Stuckert, MA, LPC:

Jennifer underwent rigorous training at Reformed Theological Seminary receiving two MA degrees, one in Marriage and Family Therapy and the other in Biblical Studies. She is a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor.

Jennifer has numerous years of experience working in private practice. In addition she was the resident counselor for a private college in Jackson, Mississippi. An experienced counselor, Jennifer possesses expertise in treating the following: abuse, anxiety, co-dependency, depression, divorce recovery, eating disorders, family of origin issues, marital counseling, parenting difficulties, premarital counseling, relational issues, sexual identity confusions, spiritual issues, and stress management.

Setting Jennifer apart is her earnest desire to lead clients in discovering core beliefs they have about themselves and their situation. Believing in the power of God's Word to both restore and renew the lives of individuals she guides her clients in examining Godly options for resolving their current situation and learning new behaviors and beliefs.

Patrick Caffrey, MS, LPC:

Pat is an addictions specialist with over 30 years working in the addiction field. Formerly, he was the creator and director of several hospital-based addictions and codependency programs.

Pat has extensive experience counseling in the field of substance abuse and chemical dependency. Patrick joined the staff at Paraclete as an addictions specialist. However, his area of specialization includes more that drug and alcohol problems. In addition to his experience in private practice, he has been program director and developer for the Rapha in-patient chemical dependency program. He also counsels families of individuals suffering from various addictions and compulsive behaviors. In all cases, the counseling is Christ-centered and Biblically based.

Pat enjoys working with both individuals and families and is able to provide help in the following areas: Chemical Dependency, Adult Children of Addicts, Co-dependency, Family Counseling, and Drug and Alcohol Assessments

Libby Balch MA, LAPC:

Libby Balch earned a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the Psychological Studies Institute. She is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor. After working for almost 30 years coaching families in the area of music education, she has honed her skills to work more directly with families and individuals facing the myriad of challenges modern life has brought: problems with anger, anxiety, depression, communication, conflict, self-esteem and lack of peace. In addition, she has a heart for helping married couples at any stage deepen and heal their covenantal commitment. She is trained in the Prepare/Enrich Inventory, used in pre-marital and marital counseling, and she helps those who have divorced through the healing process. She also enjoys working with kids and her degree specialization is with children and adolescents. Helping blended families is also an interest.

Libby believes God has mandated her to serve people and to bring them His message of reconciliation (II Corinthians 5:18-21), as it relates to every area of life. As people become reconciled to God, to themselves, and to other people in their lives, they will find joy and peace even in the midst of suffering.


Mary Ann Woodward M.A., LAPC, R.D.

Mary Ann Woodward is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and Registered Dietitian. While earning her Bachelor's degree in dietetics from Miami University, she developed compassion for those struggling with eating disorders and became concerned with addressing the starving soul as well as the malnourished body. Upon completion of her dietetic internship, she spent three years working for a college ministry in Bosnia and Croatia, where she had the opportunity to present Jesus as the Bread of Life to starving souls. That experience motivated her to pursue a Masters degree in Professional Counseling from the Psychological Studies Institute, where she furthered her pursuit of caring for the body, soul and spirit. She is a Board Eligible National Certified Counselor and Licensed Dietitian in the state of Georgia specializing in the treatment of eating disorders. She has experience in addressing self-esteem issues, assertiveness, spiritual direction, depression and anxiety. In addition, she provides nutritional counseling separate from psychotherapy, and treats a variety of issues, including weight management, emotional eating, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and GI problems.

 

Rich Oswald, MA, LAPC

Rich earned a Master of Arts degree in Professional Counseling from Psychological Studies Institute in Atlanta, GA. He did additional course work to acquire specializations in Christian Sex Therapy and Spirituality in Counseling. Rich is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping hurting people with the skills and abilities God has given him. He knows first hand the hope, freedom and growth that God provides and desires to share that with others (2 Corinthians 1:4). Rich works with adults, adolescents, couples and families. He is a certified Trauma Resolution Therapist and also a Board Eligible National Certified Counselor. He provides help with many different issues including trauma, sexual concerns, marriage difficulties, anxiety, relational problems, parenting, premarital/marriage preparation, identity, career and life direction, and spirituality.
