Emotional Eating Group:

Do you…
-tend to snack more when you are alone?
-treat yourself routinely with food?
-view eating a favorite food as one of the most pleasant things you can do for yourself?
-have a hard time recognizing when you are hungry or full?
-eat when you are stressed, even if you are not hungry?

If you answered "yes" to 3 or more of the above questions, you may struggle with emotional overeating, and are not alone.

The diet mindset and misuse of food to meet emotional needs can lead to poor eating habits, low self-esteem, feeling deprived, and social isolation. On a spiritual level, food becomes an idol. Without processing your emotions around food, your body, soul and spirit can become starved. The Women's Group for Emotional Eating is a 10-week therapeutic group that includes a combination of nutrition education, therapeutic processing and Christian integration. The book, "Intuitive Eating" by Evelyn Tribole and Elyse Resch will facilitate discussion of mindful eating and healthy attitudes regarding food.

Women's Group for Emotional Eating
Mondays 7:30-8:45 pm
10 week series
First course offered March 17 - May 19
$30 per session
This will be a closed group for women only (age 18 and older), and will be limited to 8 members. A new group will be formed every 10 weeks. Pay for all sessions upfront and receive a 10% discount!

ANGER MANAGEMENT GROUP

Mens, Thursday 8:00-9:15pm

8 week anger management group for men, women, and young men, Hosted by Paraclete Counseling Center.

SEXUAL ADDICTION GROUP

10 week education/ process therapy group for those struggle with sexual compulsivity/ addictions issues.

Two Groups (age 13-15) (age 16-18)

A womens only group designed specifically for those who are survivors of Sexual abuse or rape victims

16 week program

Wednesday Nights 6:30-8:00 PM

The groups will be $40 per session with a commitment to pay for all sessions
