Seth Kemfort, Counseling Intern

Do you ever feel empty inside, like something’s missing and you can’t seem to fill that void? Has anxiety, depression, or loneliness taken control of your life? Do you find yourself turning to alcohol, pornography, gambling, or video games to escape the pain, stress, or emptiness you feel? Have these habits begun to affect your relationships or your faith, leaving you wondering, “Why can’t I stop doing this?”

If any of this sounds familiar, you are not alone. Many people struggle with these same patterns and feel trapped in guilt or shame. However, healing and freedom are possible.

As a counseling intern at Paraclete Counseling, I help adults who are struggling with addiction, anxiety, and depression find peace, hope, and lasting change. My goal is to help you understand the deeper roots of your struggles, develop practical tools for recovery, and rebuild a healthy sense of identity and connection—with yourself, others, and God.

In our sessions, we’ll work together to:

  • Identify triggers and unhealthy coping patterns

  • Strengthen emotional awareness and resilience

  • Learn new ways to manage anxiety and depression

  • Build a foundation of hope, recovery, and faith

If you desire, we can also integrate prayer and Scripture into our work together as we ask God to be part of the process, bringing healing, wisdom, and restoration.

You don’t have to keep fighting this battle alone. Together, we can walk a path toward freedom, renewal, and peace—and help you rediscover the life you were made to live.
